Therapy for Women’s Issues in Arizona and North Carolina
Being a woman is a specific experience in the world and deserves a specific consideration when it comes to mental health treatment.
From being caregivers to being professionals, women juggle multiple roles simultaneously.
Often, these roles come with unrealistic expectations and undue pressure.
The constant balancing act and pressure to perform can lead to burnout, identity loss and disconnection from joy and peace.
I specialize in specific issues impacting women’s mental health including…
family systems,
relationship issues,
identity/sense of self,
self-worth,
numbing/addiction,
trauma,
anxiety,
depression,
and codependency.
My social work background means I look at my clients not just as individuals but as people in a larger context of family, community and society.

What To Expect
-
Schedule a free consultation call
This initial phone call is for you to discuss what’s bringing you to therapy at this time, share the challenges you're experiencing, ask any questions you may have, discuss policies, costs, etc. and explore overall if we're a good fit for working together.
(If we decide not to work together, I’ll be happy to provide you with a referral to someone who could better serve your needs)
-
Dive into therapy tailored for you
If we both decide we’re a good match, we'll schedule our first session.
Before we meet, you'll complete some new client intake forms via a secure link I will send you.
At this appointment, I’ll conduct a comprehensive intake, which includes gathering more information about your background, experiences, treatment history, and context for what has led you to seek therapy. Throughout this session, we’ll also discuss your goals.
-
Experience personal growth and change
For most clients, I suggest that we begin by meeting once a week. Once we meet some of your goals, and you’re feeling more confidence and ease, we may decide to meet bi-weekly or less often, usually after about six months time.
I can’t promise that it will always be easy, but it will be worth it.
